Too much snow!

Today at Alpental it was difficult... to see. But the 12+ inches of fresh powder in the last 24hrs (on top of the recent feet of snow) sure was great...

A new addition... on 4 wheels

We have recently been feeling the pinch in our HHR for adults and car seats. After much research, the smallest and best match for us for three rows of seats in our price range was clearly the Mazda 5. Fortunately, this turned out to be a great time to buy a car. And it even fits nicely in our cozy garage!

Happy boxing day, 2012!

Merry Christmas 2012!

From a crowded living room of Josie's new toys and space to walk (note her new favorite mallet), we wish you a Merry Christmas from Beacon Hill!

Skipping Rain Via See-Saw

Look who was spotted sporting her Mom's own great handiwork (hat and mittens)? Just enough time for a few quick bounces on the see-saw and a lot of excited marching around the playground before the next rain!

The kitchen floor, music, and football?

Meet the so-far-undefeated-ND-football household fan. Odd theme for a Friday night, but every day turns out to be an adventure in our house!

Thanks again for the cool shirt, Coleman family!

The comforts of... home.

We've just recently returned from a whirl-wind tour of Michigan visiting family. It was so nice to not only see both sets of grandparents and family nearby, but it was nice to have almost two weeks doing so.

While it was surely nice to travel, sometimes it is great enjoying a sunny Sunday morning playing with a few toys on the kitchen floor. :)

Up On Blocks

Yesterday's walk revealed some sluggish handling on the B.O.B. Further inspection revealed a flat right tire! Fortunately this is easier than changing a bike tire.

Figured you might get a kick out of the stroller "up on blocks" (blocks being Allison's running shoes) while out of service for the proper repairs. Turns out these shoes match the axle height perfectly!

The Italian Gift That Keeps Giving

On the east end of our backyard sits a glorious old Italian plum tree. This little beauty just keeps producing heaps of fruit. A lovely gift to truly cherish for years more, left behind from the landed Italian family that built our house in 1929.

Portlandia fare seen in Seattle, not Portland

At first I was disturbed, glancing from a distance at what looked like a badly injured person retired in the back seat of this 'beaut.

This Beacon Hill sighting is perhaps something the layman would expect in Portlandia. However, not far away is Georgetown, which is just as classy.

Cooling down

Not that we have too much to complain about regarding temperature during the summer...

...but pictured below is much better than it read in the house 2 days ago.

Cleared for takeoff

Josie & Dad started Saturday morning early at Jefferson Park. With pre-flight cleared, this baby is ready for takeoff.

The Blues, and the blues

Today we walked down to the lake to watch the Seafair airshow. Not bad, although Josie was not expecting the noise from the Blue Angels!
