Curious case of a sunflower...

A couple of weeks ago, we thought we had an unusually fast-growing weed. We almost pulled it! Glad we didn't. Here are some pictures spaced about a day apart.

The base trim and majority primer prep is complete. The main floor bath just needs the simple final touches: new paint, and new shrubs. Well said, Ron White.

Back to bases.

After much roto-hammering, sawing, and measuring. Base molding is done.

My very sore fingers can easily explain all the custom work behind the panels that was required for these to turn out looking "normal."

Heated floor control panel fit in nicely, too. Unfortunately, plaster never seems to cut cleanly...! Alas, a little more work to finish tomorrow.

Back from Vacation

We spent the last week or so in Michigan for my cousin, Tom's, wedding. It was an emotional wedding for me because it was like watching my little brother get married. Rob and I had a great trip and as always we enjoy spending time at the camp. We got to swim in the lake, watch tons of wildlife, and have a lot of fun. Just a few pictures from the trip.

Two steps forward...

It has been a long week with other activities, but gradually the finish line is 'round the corner with this main floor bathroom. This afternoon I leveled & reinstalled both the toilet and sink.

But not before cracking into the wet wall to inspect the main soil stack and measure clearance for the next big project...
