We are Home Owners!
We closed on the house today. Here are some pictures. We will be working on the house this week and this weekend and we probably won’t move in until almost Christmas, but here are a few new pictures that show more then they did before. I will update later with more information. It’s been pretty boring here otherwise.

First thing, the house buying process is going along ok. We are still in contract and still hope to closeon the 29th, but anything could come up to push that back a little. I will send more pictures as soon as we are able to get in to take more pictures OR when we actually own the house.
Yesterday was the Michigan Ohio State game and we were abl to go over to West Seattle and watch the game at an alumni bar there. We thought we would be swift and leave around 8:20am to catch the bus outside of our apartment. The bus was actually going to go downtown and straight to where we needed to go in West Seattle so there was no reason to get a transfer, which was nice. By the time we got there. About 9am. It was packed. Probably about 200- 250 crazy Michigan Fans. 7 pitchers or beer later we lost (it was close though) and were drunk, which is why we took the bus in the first place. Then we went back home and took a nap. It has been so nice to move somewhere where you already have friends to do things with. We would have never been able to do that in Connecticut.
Not much going on today. We decided last night that we will go snowboarding on Thanksgiving and we will cook a big dinner on Friday. Rob is going to have to work on Saturday and Sunday to try to make up for some time that we will be gone the week after at Ang and Chris'. I will have more information to follow with that as well.

A House to Call Home
I won’t even start off by saying that it has been too long since I wrote. It has and I apologize. I do have a good excuse though. We put in an offer on a house and should be closing on the 29th. For a house that I didn’t even want to go look at, we both walked in and fell in love with it. We are so excited to finally move in and have it our home. The house itself is on 15th avenue and in the section of the city called Beacon Hill. It is only 2 miles from downtown and the park a few blocks away have the best city views. It will be about 10 miles for Rob to drive to work and we anticipate the traffic to be much easier for him as well. This will be a good spot.
The house itself is on a semi busy street and that turned me off at first, but it turns out its really not that bad. The windows are all leaded glass and it has the original big wooden door. The walls are plaster with a picture railing across the entire room and the fireplace has the original tile work. All the rooms downstairs have the original hard wood floor and they don’t need any work. The only thing that needs to be done is the kitchen updated and the walls cleaned and painted. We have a full basement with 1 finished bedroom and a not finished bathroom that we can do ourselves. The basement needs to be retiled, but that is not a big deal either. We will have a garage that Rob wanted and the small backyard that we can grow plants, but won’t require a lot of work. Here are some more pictures from Shutterfly if you want to check it out. I will keep updating.
